Our History

Pópulo Servicios Turísticos started its activity in 1999. It is a young company created by Santiago Calvo and Sebastián Moreno, and it became the first tourist company in Baeza. During these years this company, accompanied by a team of professionals related to Art, History and Culture has carried out a great job in the interpretation of the heritage in the region of la Loma.

Its main activities are cultural visits to the cities declared in 2003 as World Heritage Site: Baeza and Úbeda, Ruta del Renacimiento Andaluz, (Route of the Andalusian Renaissance), the visit to los Parques Naturales de la Provincia de Jaén (Visit to the Natural Parks of Jaen province), la Ruta del Aceite por Sierra Mágina (the Oil Route in Mágina), and la Ruta de los Castillos (Route of the Castles).

Moreover, Pópulo is responsable for other things such as: the management of el Museo de la Cultura del Olivo in la Hacienda la Laguna, the management and the creation of el Centro de Interpretación about Baeza Medieval “Torreón Puerta de Úbeda”, the Tourist Train “Ciudad de Baeza”, and the creation of dramatized visits “Contaban en Baeza”. All of this, alternating with comercial projects, handcrafts shops, and local products as important as the olive oil, and the organization of events such as conferences and trade shows as: Futurola Baeza, Feria del Olivar de la Comarca de la Loma.

As we see a young company committed to the development of tourism in the province of Jaén.
